Shayna Doi oversees Hawaii Energy's brand strategy and external communications, including integrated marketing campaigns and public relations efforts. A native of Haiku, Maui, Shayna is passionate about community service and brings 15 years of experience in public service & nonprofit communications to this role of educating residents and businesses about the benefits of energy efficiency and conservation.
During her time with Hawaii Energy, she has notably hosted and produced the program's popular "Hawaii: Energized!" series, which has appeared as a monthly segment on KHON2's Living808, and pioneered the EmPOWER program, a specialized offering designed to support local nonprofits with energy efficiency upgrades. Under her leadership, Hawaii Energy is a 3x winner of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s prestigious ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year award, has won numerous Pele Awards for advertising and social media campaigns, and has been recognized as one of Hawaii Business Magazine’s Best Places to Work for seven consecutive years.
